Quality Technician

Hughes Power System develops and manufactures the latest generation of environmentally friendly electrical high voltage circuit breakers. We use vacuum and solid insulation instead of yesterday's gas insulation. The products are used by electricity transmission companies and railway operators.

Job Description

1. Here you work with newly developed products, new equipment and you yourself set the framework for how quality process should be built from the start. You work closely with technology development, assembly and with direct delivery control of parts from subcontractors.

2. You have a great deal of personal responsibility and an opportunity to influence many details in the process. Everything from subcontractor delivery, internal production to final testing before delivery.

3. You take care of everything related to quality, follow up on results and drive improvements along the entire industrialization flow. When something does not go as planned, you analyze root causes, propose measures and ensure that lessons learned are taken advantage of and become part of the process.

4. You are also responsible for ensuring that all details are registered in our production system, that ECR (Engineering Change Request) in our system are analyzed and changes are proposed.

5. You ensure that our products have the right conditions to succeed.

Your profile

1. We are looking for someone who likes when things are new and wants to help shape how things should be done in the best way.

2. You have analytical skills and can drive quality issues.

3. The position may require you to undergo and be approved according to current regulations for security protection. Some positions have Hughes requirements for security classification, which may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
